Outside General Counsel
Arman Javid’s diverse experience in transactions, intellectual property and litigation positions him well to serve as outside general counsel to clients in various industries, including software, manufacturing, food and beverage, financial services, entertainment, consumer products, e-commerce, health care, restaurant and hotel services, and technology services. He has spoken before a variety of business, industry, and legal groups on intellectual property and transactional issues.
Arman develops strategies to commercialize and protect his client’s domestic and international intellectual property rights. Arman prosecutes trademark and copyright applications and manages extensive corporate trademark portfolios. He advises clients on brand strategy and defense as well as analyzing and resolving trademark clearance and enforcement issues. Arman has extensive experience in handling trademark disputes before the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He also has experience handling and winning high-stakes disputes in the areas of trademark, false advertising, unfair competition, copyright, and general commercial matter’s in state and federal courts.
Arman works with entrepreneurs and investors on capitalizing corporations and LLCs, drafting founder and adviser agreements, and structuring executive employment agreements and incentive compensation plans.
Corporate M&A and Maintenance
Arman also works with later-stage enterprises in finance and merger and acquisition transactions. His experience includes representing companies and investors in buy-side and sell-side transactions, ranging from small asset sales to deal values up to $100 million. Arman is also experienced in drafting and negotiating technology and commercial services contracts.
Prior to joining as partner at Moscone, Emblidge & Rubens, Arman was founding partner at Javid Rubens and partner at McQuaid, Bedford & Van Zandt, and the San Francisco office of Hanson Bridgett.
