Kelly comes to the Firm with more than 25 years in varied administrative roles in a range of environments such as software development, management consulting, and academia. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm, working with the accounting staff to manage cash flow and financial forecasts, as well as vendor contract negotiation and client relationships.
A native New Englander, her career began in Boston, with a small software firm specializing in telephony technology. When the company dissolved, she shifted gears to a management consulting firm spun off by attorneys from the Harvard Negotiation Project, where she juggled complex client demands along with internal challenges such as overseeing a new office space build-out and move.
After six years, Kelly took advantage of a new opportunity at the MIT Media Lab. Her focus was support to two research teams and their PhD level students which included oversight of grants from both governmental agencies and private foundations, on which the teams depended for their salaries and equipment procurement.
Upon moving to San Francisco in 2007, Kelly took on the role of Office Administrator with a small law firm that concentrated on Intellectual Property matters. The position quickly expanded to include more matter-focused case management, which meant quickly mastering the complex system of rules and regulations governing litigation discovery and filings in state and federal court. After a short sabbatical, Kelly returned to the world of management consulting, with four years at Bain & Company, before joining the Firm in 2022.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys hiking and mountain biking, and is a keen figure skater, with two competition wins. She and her husband live in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood, three blocks from the beach.
