Patrick Sullivan
Associate Attorney

Patrick assists clients with navigating both high-stakes litigation and general corporate matters. His practice concentrates on commercial litigation and real estate disputes with a multidisciplinary reach that also includes intellectual property, privacy, securities law, and employment issues.

In solving complex problems, clarifying client goals is critical. Patrick’s approach emphasizes active listening to understand each client’s unique situation. Once client objectives are distilled—focus, perseverance, and creative problem solving can be applied to efficiently achieve client objectives. Patrick joined Moscone Emblidge and Rubens LLP in part because the firm has an adept track record and exceptional culture for putting clients first (rather than focusing on short-term profits or pyrrhic victories). This long-term approach maximizes client results and satisfaction and drives repeat business.

Prior to joining the firm, Patrick honed his skills in real estate and commercial litigation at a boutique firm in Walnut Creek and he handled intellectual property and corporate matters at a Denver-based firm which specialized in intellectual property. He also served as a legal intern for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (S.E.C.), Coinbase, Inc., and Chief Judge Michael Martinez of the Second Judicial District of Colorado. Through his university’s Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, Patrick gained further experience counseling local startups.

Patrick earned his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Colorado Technology Law Journal and was awarded the Austin Scott Jr. Scholarship for merit. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Colorado Boulder, Leeds School of Business.

Outside of the office, Patrick is an avid skier and runner. He also enjoys the outdoors, visiting historical sites, and learning about San Francisco’s history through City Guides (a program sponsored by the San Francisco Public Library which provides free walking tours of San Francisco history).
